Chairman of China’s Alibaba Group Jack Ma meets PM Nawaz Sharif and expresses interest in developing Pakistan’s e-commerce platform. Jack Ma plans to support small scale industries and startups with Alibaba’s services and has been invited by the Prime Minister to Pakistan, reported Pakistan Television.
Both met in Davos, Switzerland on the sidelines of the 2017 World Economic Forum.
Alibaba’s founder shared his plan for supporting small scale industries in developing countries, and informed Nawaz Sharif that the Alibaba Group has been facilitating 60 million companies across the globe.
Referring to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said it would provide opportunities for promotion of the bilateral economic ties between China and Pakistan.
During the meeting, he also invited the prime minister to visit his company headquarters in Guangzhou, China.
Nawaz Sharif on the occasion praised the services of AliBaba group for the e-commerce sector and also invited him to visit Pakistan.
